This bicycle tour is a unique weekend trip with wonderful cycling, food and cultural experiences. The tour combines top-class mountain biking, magnificent descents and ends at Savalen Fjellhotell and SPA. Experience an exclusive mountainbike tour in the Norwegian mountains.
With Rondane National Park as backdrop you will experience some of the best mountain biking and mountain culture that Norway can offer. The landscape is beautiful. Most of the trails used to be trails to the mountain farms, or to the old mines, which you also find scattered around the area. Both result in a unique network of trails in the mountains.
This guided tour is offered on fixed dates, but it is possible to book the trip as a private tour. As a private tour you have to meet the minimum requirement of 4 people.
Day 1 - Arrival at Urørt Lodge in Alvdal

Arrival at Urørt Lodge, a small family-farm in Alvdal which will serve as our first stop on this tour. We meet at the lodge and enjoy a good dinner of local produce, before reviewing the plan for the coming days.
Urørt Lodge is an idyllic guesthouse located in Alvdal. At the gateway to the mountains, the lodge is perfect for active holidays and bike-holidays. For mountain bikers you will also find a fully equipped bike-workshop, washing stations, and bike-parking.
Day 2 - Haustdalen, an eldorado for trail cycling

We start the day with transport up to Haustdalen, an eldorado for trail cycling in Alvdal Vestfjell. Here there will be long, beautiful descents, a summit tour, high mountain paths and saddle lanes before we get a descent of over 500 meters in height straight from the mountain and down to the valley.
There we will be picked up and given transport up to the mountain on the other side, and we will take a short trip to the top with us before there will be a fantastic descent straight into the seat yard at the end of the day. With a formidable view, we enjoy a three-course dinner in homely surroundings.
Day 3 - Lake Savalen and the mountain Gråvola

After breakfast we start the day with a bang and take with us a lovely descent from the mountain down to the valley as a warm-up. Our transport is waiting there to take us back to the mountain and the trip over to Savalen Fjellhotell & SPA, which offers a fabulous view along a ridge traverse that follows the lake Savalen, before we end the trip with the spectacular descent from the mountain Gråvola.
Once at the hotel, we end the day with a refreshing dip in the spa pool and a panoramic view of the Savalen. In the evening, a delicious dinner based on local produce is served.
Day 4 - High mountains and spectacular views

On the last day, we start with a small car transport in the direction of Alvdal and a bicycle tour that offers pine needles, high mountains, beautiful descents, spectacular views from Brandvålsberget and not least the prize at the end - Sten.
Sten is truly one of the most beautiful cycling mountains in the region and what better way to crown the trip than this descent?! The cycle tour ends where we started, in the farm yard of the Urørt Lodge in Alvdal.

Getting Here
On this tour, the meeting place is Alvdal. You can travel by train on the Rørosbanen from both Trondheim and Oslo.
Payment
After making a reservation, you will receive an invoice for an advance payment equal to 30% of the total amount from the local tour operator. This payment must be made within 3 days, or at least 2 days prior to departure. Please note that the reservation is not binding until this payment is received.
The remaining payment, which is the total fee minus the deposit, must be paid 60 days prior to the start of the activity, unless otherwise agreed. No payment is made to Norway by Bike.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
If you need to cancel your booking, you can do so up to 60 days before the activity starts. Please note that there is a cancellation fee of NOK 1000.
If you cancel your booking between 59-30 days before the activity, you will be charged 50% of the total cost.
If you cancel less than 29 days before the activity, the full price of the activity will be charged.
To avoid losing money in case of a cancellation, we strongly recommend that you have valid travel insurance that covers cancellation issues.
