Lycksele – Vilhelmina

This stage marks the beginning of a hillier ride along road 360 toward Vilhelmina. The gradients are generally moderate, but some climbs can be long, peaking at an altitude of 589 meters above sea level in the village of Risträsk before descending into Vilhelmina. The landscape is characterized by forested hills, expansive lakes, and open wetlands, creating a serene and scenic backdrop for your journey.

As you approach Vilhelmina, the terrain becomes more open, and the town greets you with its traditional wooden architecture and stunning views of Lake Volgsjön. Vilhelmina offers a welcoming stop with shops, restaurants, accommodations and historical attractions, including the iconic Vilhelmina Church Town. It’s an ideal place to take a break and immerse yourself in local culture before continuing into the more mountainous parts of Västerbotten.
