A short and easy ride to a small beach south of the city.
The ride starts at Halden Brygge and follows the waterfront south before continuing on small, quiet roads out of town. The landscape gradually opens up with farmland and forest, and the route combines easy riding on both road and trail.
Eventually, the beach appears, beautifully framed by hills on both sides – a perfect spot for a swim on warm days.
On the way back, it’s worth taking some extra time in Sørhalden, where you cycle through charming streets lined with wooden houses from the 19th century. Narrow lanes like Pistolstredet and Lavendelstredet add a unique and historic touch to the ride.

Starting and finishing point of the ride. Boats line the waterfront, and you’ll find several cafés and restaurants along the quay. All set against the impressive backdrop of Fredriksten Fortress overlooking the town.
