An easy scenic loop combining beautiful views, nature and relaxing riverside cycling.

The ride starts in Drammen and follows cycle paths towards Lier before joining the former Drammen Railway, now converted into a wide gravel trail. The gentle climb makes for easy riding, and several benches along the way invite you to stop and enjoy panoramic views of Drammen, the fjord and the surrounding countryside.

The descent down Gullaugkleiva is quite steep. At Linnesstranda you can leave your bike and take a short walk to the birdwatching tower at the Nature Reserve. The route then continues past the beach at Gilhusodden and the farm shop Grøntbua at Gilhus Farm before following the scenic riverside path along the Drammenselva back to the centre of Drammen.
