The Norrland YMCA Hostel is less than 300 meters from the train station and there is also a well-stocked grocery store near the station. Some rooms have their own toilet and the others have a shower and toilet nearby. Norrland YMCA Hostel is renovated in 2019, modern and fresh.
For those who want to cook, there is a modern self-catering kitchen with seating on the 2nd and 3rd floors. There is also access to a laundry room and free wifi for guests. Breakfast is served in the breakfast room from 07:00 to 08:30 on weekdays and 08:00 to 09:30 on weekends. Times may vary during the holiday season, please contact us for current times. There is a bicycle room where you can lock up your bike and carry out minor repairs and maintenance while staying here. In the courtyard there is access to water to rinse/wash your bike. If you do not have your own bike, there are two bikes for rent. We cooperate with Cykelportalen, which is located in our courtyard, where you as a guest are offered a discount on service, repairs and selection from the webshop. Norrland YMCA Hostel is a bike-friendly accommodation and Umeå and its surroundings are ideal for cycling and cycling excursions. Why not a bike ride along the Ume River to Klabböle energy center with a café, museum and playground. Another excursion destination is Umedalens Skulpturpark with works by Tony Cragg, Louise Bourgeois, Anthony Gormley and others.
