Easy cycling with fjord and mountains. Enjoy the beautiful Ersfjordbotn and lunch at the charming café Bryggejentene before returning to Tromsø.
Follow the wharf out of town, passing close to the sea. The gravel road around Sydspissen is very pleasant – be careful when cycling, as this is a very popular walking path. In Telegrafbukta, the view of the mountains in the distance is fabulous and there are both nice grassy areas and a sandy beach – although be warned – the water temperatures are low. Close by you will also find the Folkeparken Outdoor Museum with its old buildings. Continue along the sea before crossing Kvaløy Bridge after the airport. From the top of the bridge, you’ll be treated to stunning views in both directions along the fjord. The bike path along Kvaløysletta to the south is well maintained, making for a comfortable ride with the sea always within sight and Tromsøya in the distance.
As you continue south towards Eidkjosen, you’ll pass by the historic Eide Handel, known for its wide selection of goods and a popular destination for shoppers in the region. From there, a short uphill awaits you as you cross over the bridge, with a breathtaking view before you begin your descent towards Ersfjordbotn. This picturesque fjord is surrounded by mountains, including the towering Store Blåmann, a popular but challenging mountain trek.
The tour’s half-way destination is the Bryggejentene café, located in an old fishing village right on the pier. Enjoy a well-deserved break with food and drinks before your return journey to Tromsø.

Kvaløya has a fantastic nature with several small, breathtaking fjords.

You can meet reinders on the bike path along the way.
