The tour starts from the city center of Florø – a small and charming town with nice restaurants and shops. The Tourist Office is located here and they have bikes for rent.

At Storevatnet the gravel path surrounds the lake. The birds are singing and the mountains surrounding Florø offers a great background.

The Coastal Museum covers a large outdoor area as well as the indoor exhibitions. It´s a network of paths and bridges perfect for cycling, as you learn about the culture, history and nature of the coast. Relax on one of the many benches, smell the salty air and again – the view of the mountains is so impressive.

The next stop is the Sørstrand Folkepark – a large park for everyone to walk or bike and with a sandy beach, lots of benches and barbeque areas. If you brought a snack, this is the perfect place to enjoy it.

Heading back you´re getting a real challenge, with a hill where you might want to push the bike. As you do, you can enjoy the silence of the woods. You might see some blueberries you want to pick. On the top of the hill you will be rewarded with a fantastic view over the city and all the islands in the fjord. A steep downhill – be aware of pedestrians – before the last stretch along the small lake Litlevannet brings you back to city center.
