Telegrafbukta outside of Tromsø is the famous beach on the southern part of the Tromsø Island. It´s an easy and short cycle trip.
Going through the city you´ll pass along the wharf close to the sea and through some residential areas. As you get closer to Sydspissen, you bike on a very pleasant gravel walking path. It is narrow and popular for pedestrians. Even though it´s cold in the water, the area is really nice for relaxing with a lawn and sandy beach. In summer time – if the sun is shining – this is a great place to enjoy the midnight sun.
In Telegrafbukta, you can enjoy the view of the mountains in the distance and there are both nice grassy areas and a sandy beach here. In summertime it does not get dark here and it is a special feeling cycling at nighttime under the midnight sun. You can choose the same track or the faster bikelane on the mainroad.
