This is a highly popular outdoor area with a bathing spot, kiosk, restrooms, and vast grassy areas. Continuing northward, the surroundings shift between forests and open landscapes with fields and meadows. At Mogreina Church, you’ll enjoy a nice view overlooking Hersjøen. The route crosses the river Risa at Dal. Råholt town center offers shops and an indoor swimming facility.

On the return journey, the route crosses the Andelva river multiple times, featuring some moderate terrain changes and cycling on roads with moderate to light traffic. One of the highlights on the return trip is the forest paths shortly after Dal. These start on the other side of the barrier from Sætreveien, leading swiftly into the woods. The paths are relatively flat, offering pleasant gravel trails. Occasionally, small ponds appear, farms are passed by, creating a serene and tranquil atmosphere.
Past Hauerseter, there’s a few kilometers of asphalt and divided road, but with little traffic, and soon the gravel paths continue. Keep an eye out for blueberries and raspberries along the roadside. A particular experience is cycling through the fields on the raised gravel path at Nordbymoen. The final stretch into Jessheim follows a pedestrian and cycle path. This is a comprehensive day trip that’s diverse and suitable for most people with a moderate level of cycling experience.
