The distance between Kongsfjord and Berlevåg is 33 km. This leg is easy and offers stunning natural beauty with majestic mountains, sea, and beaches. The route is mostly flat and makes for a pleasant ride, but watch for strong winds this far north. Along the way, you’ll see the Finnmark Fisherman’s House – a reconstructed building showcasing how a fishing family lived during the war. The Sandfjord Beach is sandy with blue, cold water! Kjølnes Lighthouse is a beautiful stop a few kilometers before reaching Berlevåg.
Berlevåg greets you with its impressive breakwater, reinforced with tetrapods – an engineering feat that strengthens by the forces of the elements. In Berlevåg, you’ll find shops and eateries. This can be a nice place to taste the local spesiality – King Crab.
