Haldenkanalen is a famous waterway in Eastern Norway, close to the Swedish border. This cycling tour begins further north than the canal, at the source of the waterway, providing a diverse and rewarding cycling experience that can be divided over as many days as you wish.
Enjoy cycling through relaxing cultural landscapes, passing lakes, fields, and meadows, and riding alongside the canal through charming small towns. The journey concludes in the historic fortress-town of Halden after approximately 150 km. Cycle at your own pace and experience unique accommodations such as farm motels, cabins, floating installations, hotels, or perhaps even spend a night in a hammock in a wooden hut.
We have suggested daily distances, but feel free to adjust to your own wishes.
