From Moss there are several possibilities further on. You can either take the ferry from Moss to Horten and continue cycling along the coast from there. The other option – which is absolutely recommended – is to make the trip through Oslo, the cozy Norwegian capital.
Today’s stage passes through charming Son, with its lively wharf life and white houses, along railway lines turned into cycle paths, passing open agricultural landscape and along the coast into Oslo. Several small town centers offers places to eat. There´s also a lot of beaches along the way and even though there is a lot of traffic along Mosseveien, you cycle on a safe cycle path all the way into the city center. You cycle mainly on asphalt tody, but a few kilometers along the old Kings Road is on good gravel.
Oslo is a vibrant place with a lot to do and see. Feel free to stay for another day here before continuing the cycling towards Kristiansand.
