The road out of Oslo runs along the Oslofjord and the cycle path here is one of the most used by cyclists in Norway. It is very nice to cycle along the seaside.

In Sandvika, the Kadettangen is a popular beach with a kiosk in the summer. The cycle path continues towards Asker, and there will be a few height meters to climb. It´s more rural and you cycle on small roads passing by the charming outdoor Asker museum. Asker center has several cafes if you want a rest.

It continues with some climbing further towards Lier before it then descends steadily towards Drammen. The famous Lier curves was the old road between Oslo and Drammen – and the view is great! Along the Drammen river, cycling conditions is great all the way towards the city centre. There´s a lot of hotels, restaurants and things to do here – on both sides of the river.
