More hills today, several historical attractions and great views.

When you leave Brumunddal, you quickly ascend on low-traffic small roads. The route climbs steadily over Rudshøgda. At Fru G, there is a café open on selected days during the summer, making it a perfect spot for a break before a thrilling descent. Ringsaker Church, is a stone church that dates back to the Middle Ages around the 1100s and is a popular pilgrimage church, especially known for its beautiful altarpiece.

In Moelv town center, there are several cafés, restaurants, and shops. Don’t miss Norway’s ‘Stonehenge’ – the Tolvsteinsringen. Twelve stone blocks arranged in a circle, connected to rituals and burials from 2,500 years ago.

From Moelv, it’s about 10 km on a road with some traffic along Lake Mjøsa before you turn onto a quiet gravel road. Now you are on the old King’s Road, which is peaceful and serene, passing several small and large farms. The final stretch into Lillehammer is easy to cycle. Be sure to visit Maihaugen, Norway’s largest open-air museum with several hundred historical buildings situated on a beautiful hill overlooking the town.
