This is a challenging climb through a beautiful cultural landscape. The hills are tough, but the views are fantastic, and you avoid the busy main road. At the top you´ll find Kastad Gård, which offers unique accommodation in its stone cottages and delicious food.
Cycling downhill is a delight as you see the white city in the distance. The cycling is easy as you head towards town. Gjøvik is the home port for Skibladner and has much to offer. Gjøvik Gård is situated in a large park in the middle of the city, featuring a café and museum. Eiktunet is an open-air museum and one of Gjøvik’s most popular destinations, located on a hill with a great view of Lake Mjøsa. The Mjøspromenaden winds along the shore of Mjøsa, offering great swimming opportunities. The city center has several hotels, shops, and restaurants.
