This part of Nuedalsruta is the most hilly stretch. National cycle route no. 5 runs in hilly terrain along the low-traffic national road 40. It is great to start the trip from Geilo. Here there is fresh mountain air and all the facilities that are nice to have before you continue on your bike tour. Restaurants, sports shops, grocery stores and train station.
Today’s stage is in high mountain nature with 3 tops to be forced. There is beautiful nature, nice roads, some traffic. it is quite far between restaurants and grocery stores so we recommend you to bring your own food and drinks on today’s stage. Here it is nature that is the attraction. After getting up on the mountain tops, you get a reward with fantastic views and proper downhills afterwards.
