Starting your journey from Geilo is a treat. It´s easily accessible by train from both Oslo and Bergen, and you can conveniently reserve a spot for your bike on board. Geilo boasts a mountain paradise with fresh air and options for trail cycling, downhill biking, and hiking. If you have the chance, consider spending an extra day. The village offers various eateries, sports shops, and grocery stores.

Today’s stage traverses high mountain terrain with three peaks to conquer. The beauty of nature is your constant companion, with smooth asphalt roads under your wheels. Expect some traffic. About 23 kilometers in, you’ll find a grocery store in Dagali for any provisions, in case you haven’t packed a lunch from Geilo. Dagali also features an open-air museum.

The natural environment is the star attraction today. You’ll feel immersed in the Norwegian mountains, an area beloved for its cabin retreats. The reward for ascending the peaks is the stunning view and exhilarating descents that follow. While today’s leg isn’t particularly long, it may be challenging if you’re not accustomed to long uphill rides.
