From Torsetlia it is approx. 2 km on the main road before taking off and entering the gravel road through Smådøldalen. There are almost no cars here. This is an idyllic stretch with hamlets, mountain lakes, sheep and cows.
The surrounding landscape is characterized by high mountains and in several places you follow the river closely Smådøla. It goes downhill and this is an easy bike route. At Fauskodammen it is nice to have one break and maybe a bath on nice summer days. The last stretch towards Rødberg is on asphalt. There is not so many restaurants and grocery stores along the way, so remember packed lunches.
