Start your day with a cup of excellent coffee from Spar Jondal by the pier – the perfect way to energize yourself before the adventure ahead! The day begins with a delightful 20-minute ferry ride across to Tørviksbygd.

As you pedal away, you’ll find yourself surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of Hardanger, with majestic mountains and shimmering fjords accompanying you. The route passes through charming farms and small villages, all framed by stunning mountain peaks. The terrain is gently undulating, offering an enjoyable ride that isn’t overly demanding. In Strandebarm, you’ll find a grocery store, and it’s also the birthplace of Nobel Prize-winning author Jon Fosse.

Halfway along the route, there’s a beautiful picnic spot near Mundheim, an ideal place to pause and soak in the surroundings. From there, the road climbs into Mundheimsdalen, where the landscape becomes almost mystical, with misty mountains, lush green hills, and rugged peaks creating an enchanting atmosphere.

As you approach Eikelandsosen, the final stretch of the ride has some traffic and narrow, winding roads, so it’s recommended for cyclists who are comfortable riding in such conditions. In Eikelandsosen, you’ll find food at the local shopping center.

From Eikelandsosen, it’s a 14-kilometer ride to the next ferry at Venjaneset pier, which takes you across to Hatvik. The final section toward Os offers two options: you can follow the main road or take gravel and smaller roads for a quieter ride. Both routes lead to the town of Os, with several hotels and restaurants.
