Starting today from Rødberg, make sure to bring food and beverages today – as there is few places to shop. The gravel road starts when you get to Smådøldalen. This idyllic stretch is filled with hamlets, mountain lakes, sheeps resting on the road and cows enjoying the green grass. The surrounding landscape is characterized by high mountains, and several places you follow close to the river Smådøla. The topography is slowly uphill and easy cycling. Fauskodammen is a perfect place to have a break and maybe a bath on nice summer days. Benches, a shelter, barbecue spots, and a nature walking trail with info signs is all found here. It´s easy to miss this hidden gem, so keep an eye on the map as you´re getting close.

Today’s stage traverses high mountain terrain with three peaks to conquer. The beauty of nature is your constant companion, with smooth asphalt roads under your wheels. Expect some traffic. About 40 kilometers in, you’ll find a grocery store in Dagali for any provisions. Dagali also features an open-air museum.

Ending the day at Geilo is a treat. Geilo boasts a mountain paradise with fresh air and options for trail cycling, downhill biking, and hiking. If you have the chance, consider spending an extra day. The village offers various eateries, sports shops, and grocery stores.
