Today you cycle on quiet country roads with very little traffic in the beginning and a little more as you get closer to Ørje. This charming small town offers the best bakery and is perfect for a rest. The Canal Museum is also worth a visit, you can take a swim in the lake and get groceries in the store. In Ørje you also find a sport shop.
The route now follows the Halden Canal on medium-traffic roads – the canal is very popular for tourist boats and kayaking. The official route follows the east side of the canal from Ørje to Halden. If you want more tranquil roads with some gravel parts, take the west side of the canal. At Strømsfoss you can visit the café Møllerens Hus by the river lock. Check out the wooden houses by the lake, where you can stay the night in a hammock.
The goal of today is Kirkeng Camping located just next to the river, where you can rent a cabin or put up your tent.
