Bicycle Tour Booking FAQ
Wondering how booking a bicycle tour in Norway works? We’ve got you covered! This Bicycle Tour Booking FAQ answers all your questions about the booking process, from sending inquiries to final confirmations.
What happens when I send a booking request?
When you have filled in the form and clicked on the “send” button, a request will be sent to the organizer of the bicycle package. You will then be contacted by the tour operator within 24 hours with a response regarding availability and final price. You may then accept or decline the booking.
What do I do if I have a question before I want to book?
If you have any questions about the bicycle tour or the booking, you are always welcome to contact us and we will help you out. You may also fill in your questions in the box “Other” when booking. Since you do not commit to the booking until you have accepted the answer from the organizer of the bicycle tour, it is in most cases easiest to start by sending a request.
It has been more than 24 hours since I sent my request and I have not received a response. What should I do?
Send us an email with the booking number you received and we will help. Also feel free to double-check your spam so that the email hasn’t ended up there. We continuously follow up all bookings and work to ensure that everything goes as smoothly and quickly as possible.
What do I do if I want to cancel a booking?
As long as you have not accepted the organizer’s response to your booking request, you are free to cancel at any time. Send a message to the organizer or to us at info@norwaybybike.com with your booking number and we will make sure that the booking is canceled. If you have already accepted the organizer’s answer, the booking is considered confirmed. What applies then is different depending on the bicycle tour. In most cases, it is free to cancel up to a certain number of days before departure. Closer, there may be a cancellation fee. Exactly which rules apply to your booking is stated on the page for the bicycle tour that you have booked. If you do not find what applies, you are always welcome to contact us at norwaybybike.com and we will help.
What happens if I do not respond to the organizer’s confirmation?
If the organizer has returned to you after you have sent your request, the organizer expects you to either accept or decline the booking. If you do not respond at all, the organizer can not be sure that you want to complete the booking and it will then be released and available for someone else to book.
How do I pay?
Payment is made directly to the organizer of that bicycle package and differs between different bicycle packages. You will receive detailed information on how to pay in connection with confirming the booking.
Will it not be more expensive to book through you than to book directly with the organizer?
Our business model is based on a commission for arranging bicycle trips. This means that neither we nor the organizer charge any extra fee to the customer because the booking goes through us. The price is therefore the same as if you book directly with the organizer.
Our goal is to grow as a company and in connection with that develop Norwegian bicycle tourism. It is thanks to the commission we receive from the travel companies that we have the opportunity to further develop our platform and market all bicycle tours together with the organizers. Without the commission we receive, we would not exist, so thank you again for booking through us!
