Upon arrival at the train station in Alvdal you can stroll over to the historic Steien Hotel. In the evening you can enjoy a delicious dinner, and we will meet with you at the hotel to hand out the equipment and rental bikes for the upcoming tour.

The hotel was built by far-sighted Alvdølers who saw new opportunities when the Røros Railway opened in 1877. The station town of Lilleelvedal, now the center of Alvdal, is still a living station town, and is considered one of the best preserved station towns in the country.
