Embark on an unforgettable adventure that blends the vibrant city life of Oslo with exhilarating mountain biking through Norway’s breathtaking terrain. From Alvdal to Ringebu, explore stunning landscapes, savor local cuisine, and enjoy unique overnight stays on mountain farms and historic hotels.

This thrilling journey takes place in the neighboring areas of Rondane, where trail cycling in Alvdal, Folldal, and Tynset promises a unique combination of high mountain and stretcher trails. The mountainous areas are perfectly suited for cycling, with just the right amount of steepness for fantastic downhill cycling and slackness for climbing to the peaks. Most paths used on the route are old roads that lead to the pastures in the mountains, and the area is renowned for its rich mining history, which has given rise to an extensive trail network in the mountainous regions.

This bike package is suitable for intermediate-level mountain bikers who can handle undulating terrain, feel confident on technical trails with rocks and roots, climb on single-track, and can control their brakes and shift gears appropriately. Accommodations are primarily in double rooms, but dormitories may be used on some nights when staying at farms and farm accommodations. For those who prefer a single room, an additional cost may apply. We recommend fully cushioned trail bikes, which can be rented for the trip. A packing list with suggested items will also be provided.

Please note that the minimum number is 4 people to book this bicycle tour.

Upon your arrival in Oslo, we will transport you to the stunning Lysebu Hotel. This luxurious hotel offers breathtaking views of the Oslo Fjord and the city, and in the evening, you will enjoy a delectable 4-course dinner from the seasonal menu.

Lysebu Hotel is a historical treasure that holds a special place in Norway's heart. During World War II, the Danish people collected funds to send food to Norway, and in gratitude for this generous act, Norway donated Lysebu to the Fund. The hotel was designed by the renowned architect Magnus Poulsson, who created an environment characterized by traditional Norwegian architecture found in the country's civil servants' farms in Eastern Norway and the royal estates in fairy tales.
