This bicycle package will take you to historic Eidsvoll where the Norwegian Constitution was written and adopted on 17 May 1814. You will also cycle on hiking trails and gravel roads through beautiful woods with small ponds. You cycle on safe cycle paths and gravel roads with no traffic. The tour starts at Best Western Leto Arena Hotel, where you spend the night.
The first day you will visit Eidsvoll Museum, an open air museum with 28 old buildings from various places in Eidsvoll. A nice place to visit, summer and winter, with a barbecue area, an activity track and an outdoor stage that is also freely accessible outside the museum’s opening hours. At Nordbyvannet outside Jessheim, there is a nice beach and you can stop for a refreshing bath in the lake.
The next day it is time for a varied round trip with large forest areas on good gravel roads and through rolling farmland along the country road in Ullensaker. You will also cycle along Pilgrimsruta, one of Norway’s national cycle routes on a separate cycle path parallel to the road and on asphalt. The landscape varies between forests, open fields and meadows. At Mogreina church there is a nice view over Lake Hersjøen. At Nordbyvannet outside Jessheim, there is a nice beach and you can stop for a refreshing bath in the lake.

You arrive to Best Western Leto Arena in Dal, near historic Eidsvoll. Check-in from 15:00. You can take a short cycle tour to get to know the historic Eidsvoll. The tour is suitable for everyone and can be cycled as a round trip or back and forth through Råholt.
Here you are on historical ground. There is a lot to see, there are tours of the Eidsvoll building and you can also have a bite to eat in the cafe. Through the center of Råholt you can stop by Råholt Church from 1888. The shopping center Amfi Eidsvoll has both shops and restaurants and is open Monday-Saturday. Indoor bathing facilities at Råholt Bad. Eidsvoll 1814 has its own café and tours both in the National Political Center and inside in the Eidsvoll building itself - a must for all Norwegians! It is nice to sit down in the park outside for a picnic.
After breakfast you cycle from the hotel and follow a pedestrian and cycle path through residential areas and past Dal station. The River Risa is crossed and the forest roads start on the other side of the barrier. Quite quickly it carries into the forest. It is quite flat on nice hiking trails and small ponds constantly appear, one or two farmyards are passed and it is quiet and peaceful.
Past Hauerseter there is asphalt for a few kilometers and a divided road, but little traffic and the dirt roads soon resume. Look for blueberries and raspberries on the roadside. A special experience is cycling through the fields on the raised gravel road at Nordbymoen.
Now the route goes through the center of Jessheim, and this is the first place where it is possible to buy food and drink, so please take the opportunity here. From Jessheim, the route turns and heads north again. At Nordbyvannet, which is only 2 km from the centre, there is a nice beach and you can stop for a refreshing bath in the lake. It is also possible to cycle around the water on a walking route if you want a small, pleasant extra round of approx. 2.5 km. Take it easy and be considerate of walkers. There is also a kiosk by the water that is open in the summer.
The cycle tour continues north along the Pilgrimsruta marked with red signs. This is one of Norway's national cycle routes that runs all the way from Halden to Trondheim. It runs on a separate cycle path parallel to the road and on asphalt. The landscape varies between forests, open fields and meadows. At Mogreina church there is a nice view over Lake Hersjøen. The last session goes over the river Risa again, past Dal station and up the hills back to the hotel.
After cycling to historic Eidsvoll and through large forest areas and a rolling farmland, it is time to travel home. If you want to extend your journey with an extra night, there are many nice cycle tours to choose from in the area.
