A bike ride around Lake Mjøsa offers beautiful cultural landscapes, tempting beaches and pleasant Mjøsbyer. The tour starts in the cultural city of Lillehammer, with time to explore the pleasant pedestrian street and all the city’s attractions. It is also nice to take a bike ride out of town. Most of the trip follows the northern part of the marked cycle route ‘Mjøstråkk’ which is signposted around the whole of Mjøsa. You cycle in the open landscape with a great view of the lake and the surrounding landscape.

The first cycling leg goes to Brumunddal with accommodation in Mjøstårnet, Wood Hotel. From Brumunddal, the trip to Nes and Helgøya goes through lush cultural landscapes with abundant cornfields and orchards. Nes and Helgøya are known for their many beautiful large farms. You step further along the shoreline to Hamar and pass the Norwegian Railway Museum, the Hedmark Museum, Domkirkeodden and the famous diving tower in Koigen. From Hamar you get a trip with Skibladner to Kapp på Toten. One night in Gjøvik before cycling back to Lillehammer. There are many opportunities to extend your bike tour every day. You cycle on your own and decide when you want to take a break.
