Cycling from Granö to Lycksele is a picturesque journey that combines diverse terrain with serene surroundings. Following much of the Blue Road (E12), the route features well-paved roads and moderate traffic, making it a smooth ride for cyclists. The stage offers a blend of flat stretches and gentle hills, providing a pleasant rhythm and opportunities to enjoy the flowing curves of the road through the forested landscape.

The scenery is dominated by dense woods, rivers, and lakes, with several scenic spots offering beautiful views of the Ume River. Rest areas along the river make it easy to pause and soak in the tranquility. Wildlife is abundant in the area, and you might spot moose, deer, or birds thriving in the peaceful environment.

Lycksele is a charming town with an urban touch amidst the wilderness. It’s an ideal place to stop for food and rest, featuring cozy cafés, restaurants, and accommodations. Known for its zoo and its history as the oldest Sámi gathering site in Sweden, Lycksele adds a cultural dimension to this scenic ride.
