Cycling from Granö to Lycksele is a picturesque journey that combines diverse terrain with serene surroundings. The scenery is dominated by dense woods, rivers, and lakes, with several scenic spots offering beautiful views of the Ume River. Rest areas along the river make it easy to pause and soak in the tranquility. Wildlife is abundant in the area, and you might spot moose, deer, or birds thriving in the peaceful environment.
Lycksele is a charming town with an urban touch amidst the wilderness. It’s an ideal place to stop for food and rest, featuring cozy cafés, restaurants, and accommodations. Known for its zoo and its history as the oldest Sámi gathering site in Sweden, Lycksele adds a cultural dimension to this scenic ride.
