A pleasant half-day ride passing several lakes and winding through the forests north and east of Kongsvinger.

The route out of Kongsvinger is easy to cycle, with many charming farms along the way, surrounded by fields of grain and potatoes. There are lovely views toward Lake Vingersjøen. After about 5 km, you reach Skinnarbø School Museum – an old, preserved schoolhouse that is open for guided visits during parts of the summer. There are benches in the garden and raspberry and redcurrant bushes.

The ride continues on gravel roads through the forest. The terrain is gently rolling, with shorter climbs. By Lake Lysen, you’ll find a very pleasant picnic spot with a bench and views over the water. There´s several lakes with nice spots to enjoy the calm silence.  After 26 km, the route includes a stretch of 7 km along the E16, which can have some traffic at times.

There are no food or drink services along the way, so be sure to bring your own snacks and water.
