Trondheim
Trondheim is Technology and the Middle Ages – and Everything in Between!
In Norway’s third largest city, don’t miss Nidaros Cathedral – a stunning Gothic landmark and one of the country’s most iconic buildings.
Trondheim’s various neighborhoods are easily accessible by bike. The city lies along the Trondheim Fjord, which is sheltered from the open sea by islands and peninsulas. Express boats take you out to the coastal edge, where cycling is also a great experience. If you haven’t brought your own bike, there are several rental options, including Trondheim City Bike.
The city is a hub in Central Norway and easy to reach by plane, train, and boat. Several long-distance cycling routes meet in Trondheim – 3 pilgrimage routes and 3 national cycling routes.
Cycle over the Old Town Bridge to the charming Bakklandet area with cafés and small shops. Test your gravel skills in Bymarka and enjoy the scenic Ladestien trail.
