The ferries provide pleasant breaks on this very special route, and with Geiranger Fjordservice, a 3-hour return trip to Ålesund by boat is a splendid option.

The catamaran MS Geirangerfjord sails through spectacular landscapes, including The Seven Sister and The Suitor waterfalls.

No cycling planned for today – unless you want to challenge yourself with some of the hilly roads surrounding Geiranger before you leave. Cycling to Flydalsjuvet – a popular viewpoint – will be a 10 km and 300 meter ascent ride. For an even more challenging tour you could try cycling to Ørnesvingen – a 14 km and more than 600 meter ascent ride, where you will get a panoramic view of the fjord.
