Get ready for an arctic cycling adventure!

The ship arrives in Havøysund in the morning, offering a pleasant start to the cycling journey. It’s a good idea to stock up at the local store for the day’s ride, as there are few places to shop along the route. They also serve coffee here. It’s highly recommended to visit the artwork located on the hill behind the church, created by the artist Runi Horn. This unique structure has a distinctive atmosphere.  The road out of the fishing village crosses the bridge and follows the base of the mountain.

The nature is dramatic with mountain passes and fjord landscapes. Along the way, you will experience several unique rest stops that make this road particularly special. It is common to see reindeer grazing and sea eagles gliding over the sky. After Snefjord, the landscape changes and becomes flatter. The wind can be strong on the open plains. The fascinating slate mountains are truly unique, and if you’re lucky, you may spot “the Sphinx”. The road winds in and out of fjords toward Kokelv. Here, you can stay overnight at Aurora Glamping in turf huts, glass dome or a cabin. In Kokelv, you will find the Sea Sami Museum in Nillagården—a former sea Sami smallholding. It offers rich insight into self-sufficiency from the 1890s. There´s also a grocery store in Kokelv.
