Quality Hotel Olavsgaard is centrally located by the E6, between Oslo and Gardermoen, with Lillestrøm as the nearest center. There are many different activities to try in the area, and the hotel has also developed cycling routes so you can explore the surrounding area easily. These routes are available on the Ride with GPS app. The hotel is also located along the Pilgrim Trail / Gudbrandsdal Trail.
The hotel has a capacity of 176 hotel rooms in different categories, and 20 small and large meeting rooms. Olavsgaard was officially opened in June 1985 and the hotel’s name is not chosen at random as according to the saga it is on historical grounds. In the year 1022, a battle was fought between Olav the Holy and the Romans during the introduction of Christianity in Norway. The hotel has books as a selected theme, and the book collection of about 25,000 books is freely available to everyone. As a continuation of the “book project”, the hotel also has an art collection of visual art based on the written word. As of today, the hotel is decorated with 10 different works of art.
