A short and easy ride with some hidden gems.

In Lillehammer, the River Gudbrandsdalslågen flows into Lake Mjøsa. On the east side, you can enjoy swimming at the Lillehammer Activity Park, and the sauna ferry is moored at a dock a bit further south. A nice pedestrian bridge takes you over to Vingnes, a popular recreational area for Lillehammer residents, both in summer and winter. Here, you will also find the Skibladner dock. Lillehammer is the northernmost port for the ship.

Next, a long stretch of low-traffic small roads awaits, heading south. On one side, you’ll see farms lined up, and on the other, you’ll have views of Lake Mjøsa. Some traffic noise from the nearby E6 highway is to be expected, but for long stretches, the road climbs higher into the hills, away from the main road. After about 10 km, there´s a grocery store at Vingrom. After about 24 km, you will reach Biri, with a store, an inn, and a trail with benches and swimming spots around the Biri Racetrack – a little hidden gem. At Kremmerodden, after about 26 km, there´s also a rest area with swimming opportunities.

On the way down to the Mjøsa Bridge, it´s easy to miss the turn towards Eriksrudvegen, so keep an eye out. Shortly after, you can take a short detour to Galleri Fjordheim. Today’s stage ends at Redalen, where there are several accommodation options. Sveastrand Camping is an open-year-round campsite by Lake Mjøsa. At Stokke Nedre Guest Farm, you can stay overnight at an old farmstead with a history dating back to the Middle Ages.
