The route on your phone

From Veggli, the route begins with some hills, offering great views as you climb. The surroundings are calm, rural, and peaceful, setting the tone for the journey. There is a short section on county road 40 before returning to quiet and scenic areas along the river, after passing Kravikfjord bridge.
The route follows the river Numedalslågen, characterized by beautiful cultural landscapes and the tranquil proximity to the water. The trip is dotted with historic landmarks, including old houses, storehouses, and stave churches – and we recommend visiting Nore Stave Church from 1167. There is a grocery store in Nore but no cafés or restaurants until Rødberg.
The final stretch ascends up the valley, with the last 10-12 kilometers along county road 40. This part involves mixed traffic, and the narrow road shoulders might feel somewhat unsafe during busy periods. If preferred, you can take a bus between Nore and Rødberg to avoid this section.
In Rødberg, you’ll find several amenities, including accommodation options, restaurants, and places to rest after your ride.
