The ride from Bodø to Saltstraumen is a scenic out-and-back route along quiet coastal roads. The first part follows a good cycle path, before continuing on small roads with light traffic and great views of the sea and surrounding mountains.

The terrain is gently rolling with a few longer climbs, adding some variation to the ride. As you approach Saltstraumen, traffic increases slightly due to visitors, but drivers are generally considerate.

The highlight is reaching Saltstraumen itself, where powerful tidal currents create an impressive natural spectacle. Combined with the open coastal landscape, this makes for a memorable and rewarding ride.
