Enjoy the sea, the sky and the mountains in the distance as you bike on well prepared bikelanes between Stavanger and Sandnes. And don´t forget to stop at some of the beautiful small beaches.
Heading out from Stavanger you will soon pass the marina at Paradise. After a short distance of some local industry the path gets more calm and tranquil. You´ll pass several small forests, and the coastline is never far away. A lot of benches spread out makes it easy to find a resting place and a great view.
The map includes several detours worth visiting, like Vaulen, Gausel and Forus Beach. At Jåttå, you will see how the harbourside is developing with modern architecture. Going through residential areas you´ll be travelling on low traffic roads. Arriving Sandnes you can enjoy an icecream on the town square.
This tour has been described going from Stavanger to Sandnes and back, but can easily be cycled the other way around. And if you think going both ways is too much, jump on the train – which stops all along the route.
