From Borgvik, it is nice cycling in a rural landscape. It goes a little up and down partly on gravel roads. At Hasseldalen it is nice to stop for a bath. Furthermore, it goes steadily upwards partly on slightly trafficked roads and partly on gravel roads.

As you approach Karlstad, the landscape changes and it becomes much flatter and more open. There are many farms along the road. Make a stop at Liljenäs farm which has an open summer café. The last part to Karlstad is varied with forestry, country road and gradually denser with buildings. There are nice walking and cycling paths all the way to the center. The tour ends in the square.

Karlstad is a pleasant, suitably large city located where Klarälven meets the lake Vänern. Here there are many hotels, restaurants and other activities that are worth a visit. Feel free to take a trip with the boat buses on the canals in the city. The art gallery Sandgrund with Lars Lerin’s artwork is definitely worth a visit.
