Kristiansand features a pleasant and compact city center where you can cycle through Posebyen – characterized by its white-painted, old wooden houses. Just outside the city core lies the delightful botanical garden of Gimle Gård, boasting a splendid park, elegant historical buildings, and a charming café. Venture beyond the university into the city forest, which offers swimming opportunities in Jegersbergsvannet. For fresh waffles, Vaffelhytta is the place to stop. Continue through the city forest on gravel roads – being mindful of pedestrians.
The Kristiansand Museum is an open-air museum where buildings from old Kristiansand are collected, along with ancient houses from Setesdal. Head towards the sea to explore the lovely beaches along the coast. Moreover, the view from Gleodden battery is breathtakingly beautiful.
The route then leads back towards the city center, meandering along the docks, before concluding in the heart of Kristiansand.
