Urban and Arctic

Hammerfest, Norway’s northernmost town, is a fascinating destination for cyclists and travelers alike.

Located at the same latitude as parts of Siberia and Alaska, it offers a unique Arctic setting – but without permafrost. Visitors can explore nearby mountain trails by bike or hiking, starting right from the town center. Hammerfest itself has a lively atmosphere with hotels, shops, and various dining spots, as well as strong ties to the fishing industry. Cyclists can enjoy a scenic ride from Havøysund to Hammerfest, experiencing dramatic coastal and inland landscapes along the way.

From Hammerfest, local boat connections offer access to surrounding islands as Sørøya and Rolvsøya. It´s also high speed ferry to the town Alta.

Midnight sun between May 16 and July 29.
