On the first day of the trip, board the comfortable Valdresekspressen bus in Oslo for a scenic journey to Lemonsjøen in Jotunheimen. Spend the night at the charming Lemonsjøen Fjellstue cabin, located next to the beautiful Lemonsjøen Lake. The surrounding area offers plenty of opportunities for short bike rides, hikes, and other nature experiences.

During the relaxing journey from Oslo to the Valdres Region, you will be treated to beautiful countryside roads, passing through small towns surrounded by lakes and fields. As you move further into the country, you'll spot mountains in the distance, and soon you'll find yourself climbing steep roads that lead straight into the national park. The coach is equipped with adjustable seats, free WiFi, outlets with charging ports, and toilet facilities on board.

Lemonsjø Mountain Lodge is a typical little cabin located in Jotunheimen National Park, next to Lemonsjø Lake. There are many popular trails running via Lemonsjø, and the friendly hosts accommodate both hikers and cyclists during the popular summer months.

Take your bike on the boat and enjoy a scenic trip for 1,5 hour on beautiful lake Bygdin, before continuing by bike.

Today is one of the most challenging days of the tour, but the effort is rewarded with spectacular scenery and some of the finest gravel roads in Norway. After reaching Eidsbugarden, the route follows the shores of Lake Tyin before continuing on a mix of gravel and asphalt towards Ryfoss. From there, a long climb leads up to the Syndin plateau – often considered one of the toughest sections of the route.

At the top, you arrive at Syndinstøga, your accommodation for the night. This welcoming mountain lodge offers apartments and traditional cabins, a cozy pub and restaurant, and beautiful views of the surrounding landscape. Known for its excellent food, Syndinstøga focuses on local and sustainable ingredients sourced from nearby producers, with some vegetables even grown on-site.

Today begins with a descent towards Gol in the valley below. After a short stretch on asphalt, the route quickly returns to gravel and follows quiet forest roads along the Hallingdalselva River through the scenic Hallingdal valley. You pass the small town of Ål before continuing to Geilo, where you spend the night. Geilo is one of Norway’s most popular mountain destinations, offering a good selection of restaurants and cafés for dinner.

Tonight’s accommodation is a historic hotel dating back to 1909, located close to both the ski slopes and the centre of Geilo. Combining classic charm with modern comfort, the hotel features individually styled rooms and wellness facilities including pools, saunas, steam baths and spa treatments. You can choose between several places to have dinner - at the hotel or within walking distance in the centre of Geilo (not included).

Today begins with a transfer of both you and your bike, as there is no suitable cycling alternative on this section. The only available route follows a busy main road, so the transfer provides a more comfortable start to the day. After arriving in Haugastøl and dropping off your luggage, it’s time to continue by bike.

From here, you join the legendary Rallarvegen, one of Norway’s most famous cycling routes. Originally built as an access road during the construction of the Bergen Railway in the early 1900s, it has attracted cyclists from around the world since opening for bike traffic in 1974. The route takes you through spectacular mountain scenery, past lakes and across the vast Hardangervidda plateau before reaching Vatnahalsen.

Perched at 820 metres above sea level near Myrdal, Vatnahalsen is a historic mountain lodge surrounded by dramatic scenery. Accessible by train, bike or on foot during summer, it offers comfortable rooms, hearty meals and a welcoming atmosphere – the perfect place to relax after a memorable day on the trail.

Day 7 - From Vatnahalsen to Flåm

This is the last stretch on the bike and this one takes you down to Flåm, by the fjord. This stage is easy when it comes to distance, but you lose a lot of elevation in a short time and some parts are a bit steep. Take it easy down and enjoy the view. You pass impressive waterfalls and follow the river down to the valley before arriving in the little village of Flåm, nestled in a bay by the Sognefjord, also called the king of the fjords.
