This Hardanger Fjord Bicycle Tour offers a breathtaking journey through some of Norway’s most stunning landscapes, showcasing magnificent views of fjords, mountains, and glaciers. As you pedal along, you’ll experience these awe-inspiring sights in a leisurely and immersive manner.
The adventure commences with a scenic train ride from Bergen to Voss, setting the stage for an unforgettable experience. Hardanger is renowned for being Norway’s primary source of fruits and berries, and your route will take you through picturesque fruit farms. Early summer reveals a burst of colorful blooms, while late summer and fall provide the opportunity to purchase fresh fruit from farm stands by simply leaving your payment in a box.
The tour runs on charming roads with very little traffic, but also on roads with more traffic. You’ll encounter rolling hills, traverse alongside majestic fjords, and even cross via ferry, providing moments of relaxation to soak in the fjord’s breathtaking views. Additionally, you’ll have the thrilling opportunity to pedal across the newly constructed, jaw-dropping Hardanger Fjord Bridge. The tour concludes in the quaint village of Rosendal, where we highly recommend a visit to the historic Barony to round off your memorable journey. From Rosendal the Hardanger Fjord Express offers a great sea voyage back to Bergen. Part of the tour follows Norwegian Scenic Route Hardanger.
